Printing process

The color photos seen on this website are printed on aluminum thanks to the very new process of sublimation : by infusing dyes directly into aluminum sheets. On metal prints the colors are vibrant , luminescent and very glossy with a  beautiful depth. The photos are also very durable and resistant .

Due to the unpredictable nature of the printing process each print is unique, and may differ slightly from the depiction on this site.

Each photo can have a floating mount to be directly hanged, floating, on the wall.

Bio

Born in France, Fab Rideti is a “young” artist who emerged under the influence of Paris creative scene as the former International Marketing Director of Guerlain, one of the gems of the LVMH luxury conglomerate. In that role, she was leading artistic direction and fragrance development.

2 years later, Fab decided to solely focus on her creative aspirations, and went back to school, studying fine-arts in Les Beaux Arts ( France). Fab soon revealed a passion for photography.

A Seattleite since August 2010, she started surfing on the artistic fiber of the Emerald City, where she focused her energy on defining her style and her inspiration : bring a humorous lens, using mockery and gentle cynicism, as an invitation to step back or simply smile.

She employs plastic figurines to create incongruous situations, which evoke surprise, and draw attention to the pleasant or unpleasant aspects of life.  Incongruity between certain staging effects and the innocence of the world of toys accentuates the irony and the comic of the situations.

Harnessing the potential of laughter, Fab Rideti attempts to awaken our conscience. She questions what deserves serious consideration and what does not, breaking taboos, revealing our contradictions, sowing the seeds of doubt.

With her distinctive style, Fab caught the attention of several galleries and  started to share her work in  Seattle:  ”After Diner Party ” , Corridor Gallery  (Seattle - May 2012), Brinkley Gallery ( Seattle – May 2012) , The Black Box Gallery (Portland – June 2012), ”New Blood” , Gallery 110 ( Seattle-July 2012 ).

In her exhibition “Still time for women’s Lib” (Gallery 110 – Seattle – Nov 2012) she demonstrates how ambiguous some choices can be for women today and how important it is to maintain a high level of consciousness.

Personally  involved in that cause, she also volunteered  to realize a women’s portraits exhibition for Mary’s Place, a Homeless Women Day Shelter in Seattle ( Nov 2012).

She also showed both in West Seattle ( Artswest) and in Paris ( Espace K)  in December 2012
